Now… What Is It That You Will Be Doing?

2158714We got a lot of traffic to our blog when I posted “Now… Where Are You Going?”  I decided to follow it up with a post about our responsibilities as we enter this new season.

There are many pictures that come to mind when I say that we are missionaries. I thought would help form a picture of what we will be doing once on the field. If you’re heart is stirred after reading this, get involved by praying for us or giving financially:

  • Presenting the gospel to children all over the world – this could mean thousands at a time at School Assemblies, Kids Crusades, Kids Camps and Open Air Outreaches.
  • Training Children’s Leaders so quality Children’s Ministry can continue in their own countries. In this way there can be a greater impact on the children of the world.
  • Speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves by advocating for and helping to meet the critical needs of children all over the world (water wells, feeding programs, school supplies, etc).
  • Developing and presenting Anti-Drug and Character Building School Assemblies that will allow us access into closed countries. Along with the Assembly programs we will be writing follow-up classroom curriculum and teacher training so Ant-Drug and Character Building can continue.
  • Resourcing the Local Children’s Ministry Leaders in countries all over the world. There’s a need for curriculum, supplies, puppets and teaching visuals. In some cases we will help find local resources that can be used, in other cases we will help get resources to them that can be redeveloped… and still in other cases, we may need to develop brand new resources.
  • Redeveloping, writing, recording and producing new television episodes of Rainbow Surprise: A television show for children and families that is already seen in millions of homes around the globe – the new format and production will get it on on the air in many more new markets.
  • Writing Workshop Sessions that will be used by children’s leaders from the US that desire to go on missions trips that include and involve teaching training on the field. These sessions will help the presenter communicate in a way that is relevant to the culture they’re ministering in.
  • Writing Children’s Ministry Programs that will be used by children’s leaders from the US that desire to go on missions trips that include and involve children’s outreach programs and services while on the field. These programs will help the presenter communicate in a way that is relevant to the culture they’re ministering in.

So… that’s what we’re doing.

Another Milestone!

278e0e3We are excited to announce that we have reached the 75% point of our commitments!

We are blessed and thankful that so many have chosen  to support us financially over the past year. The last few commitments that have helped us get to the 75% point are those that have taken advantage of our $30 Challenge. We are looking for 35 people who will be part of the 25% that will put us over the top and get us on the field.

IS IT YOU?

Pray about it – see what Jesus tells you.

If you’re supposed to join our team, go to The $30 Challenge, read all about it, and you can make the commitment online. And we will send you our Doyle Family Missions Coffee Mug as a way to say thanks and to serve as a reminder to pray for us.

Help us get to the other side!

Now… Where Are You Going?

Since announcing our new direction in ministry as full-time Missionaries to the children of the world, we get the question all the time:

“So, now… where are you going?” or “Where are you moving to?” or (because part of my testimony of being called into missions happened in Africa) “So, you  guys are moving to… Africa?” most of the time these questions are asked as a puzzled look comes across the inquirer’s face.

We will hang our hats in Springfield, MO so we are close to the main offices of Assemblies of God World Missions. That, of course, necessitates a move from our home of 6 years, Colorado Springs, CO. We officially move during the last week of April, and at the same time, wrap-up 6 years of successful children’s ministry at Radiant Church.

From Springfield, we will collaborate with Jay Risner as part of KidLink International to make our way into 8-10 countries a year (yes, some of those countries will be in Africa) – Presenting large evangelistic services, school assemblies, worker training, developing new international children’s ministries resources, meeting critical needs and producing television shows.

We are down to the wire in order to get to where we are going. As of this writing we still need 27% of our monthly commitments to be made – YOU CAN GET INVOLVED with our $30 Challenge. Go to the page, pray about it, see what Jesus tells you and if you need to join our team… make the commitment!

2015 Walla Walla Children’s Leadership Conference

oregon_trail-565x387_6Our entire family is excited to be at Stateline Community Church (Milton-Freewater, OR) for the 2015 Walla Walla Children’s Leadership Conference on February 19 & 2o. If you are in or near the Walla Walla, WA / Milton-Freewater, OR area – please come and see us and enjoy a great conference. Click here to find out more about the conference. Registration information is also available.

We are also SUPER PUMPED about being part of the Stateline’s Family Missions Service on Sunday, February 22. Pastor Owen Frost was my youth pastor when I was a gangly junior high aged kid. He planted a seed that’s been growing all these years in my life. Aside from that, Owen and his wife, Jennifer, pastor a great church that is reach their community by focusing on the family.

Please pray for us as we litterally will hit the Oregon Trail on Tuesday morning.

Year-End Giving

1412346_10202185705860264_48480423_oSo you’ve probably seen my many posts on Facebook and on some other social media about our journey into International Children’s Ministries. Not to belabor the point, but if you haven’t Liked our Facebook page, follow the links in the side bars and at the bottom of our site.

As you can imagine, raising support is a major focus right now. Sometimes it blurs the lines of friendships and actually makes it difficult with networking and creating partnerships with churches and pastors. But the fact remains that we need the financial support if we are going to get on the field.

Our biggest obstacle right now is trying to raise that support while remaining on staff full-time as Children’s Pastors at our church. Our pastor is a great guy, but feels that in order to do right by the church, he just cannot give us any time to be away to raise funds. I wish that we could hit the road right now and come to every church that has invited us to do missions services, missions spots, and family events. It would make raising the support so much easier.

Since we are in this dilemma, I have to rely on 2 things:

  • Individuals/families making monthly commitments
  • Churches where I have a previous friendship with the Pastors/Leaders who trust us enough to offer support.

With that being said, I’m asking if you would consider picking us up for monthly support. Our hope is to be on the field by May 2015. Here’s what I am suggesting

…IF your are an Individual or family:

  1. Begin monthly missions support. Even if you cannot start paying on a monthly commitment, you can go to http://worldmissions.ag.org/agwm_commit_form_online.cfm and make the commitment – even if you cannot begin payment right away just start paying on that commitment anytime between now and April 2015.
  2. Do you have any year-end surplus that could be given to missions as year end giving? If so, what would that amount equal in 24 payments? (Example: $1,200 in surplus = 24 monthly payments of $50.) You could make the commitment and give the entire surplus at once to meet the commitment – in that case, go to our secure online giving site: http://s1.ag.org/doyle, make the donation in the entire surplus amount and add to the comments that you would like to give this to fulfill the monthly commitment. After all: you get the tax benefit and we get closer to the mission-field!
  3. Give a one-time gift that will help us build our cash budget. Go to our secure online giving site: http://s1.ag.org/doyle and make a contribution.

Here’s what I am suggesting…

…IF you are a Pastor or Church Leader:

  1. Add us to your church’s monthly missions support. Even if you cannot start paying on a monthly commitment, you can go to http://worldmissions.ag.org/agwm_commit_form_online.cfm and make the commitment – even if you cannot begin payment right away just start paying on that commitment anytime between now and April 2015.
  2. Does your church have any year-end surplus that could be given to missions? If so, what would that amount equal in 24 payments? (Example: $1,200 in surplus = 24 monthly payments of $50.) You could make the commitment and give the entire surplus at once to meet the commitment – in that case, go to our secure online giving site: http://s1.ag.org/doyle, make the donation in the entire surplus amount and add to the comments that you would like to give this to fulfill the monthly commitment.
  3. Give a one-time gift that will help us build our cash budget. Go to our secure online giving site: http://s1.ag.org/doyle and make a contribution.
  4. Be our advocate and take an offering with your congregation this Sunday that could be converted into a monthly commitment much like I describe above.

Here’s the deal: it’s hard asking people for money… but I do it because I believe that we are called to reach the children of the world. And if we can influence the children, we can change a country! And you can help.

Just Another Part of the Story

a9430674-315f-491e-a7dd-b0d72ce35aa7Over 20 years ago, Jamie went on a missions trip as a teen to Mexico. Little did he know, that trip would be the seed planted in his heart to reach the children of the world!

Since then, there have been numerous missions trips. Jamie’s thought whenever returning went something like this: “That was a great trip… I’ll have to do that again some day.”

Then in 2012, while in Africa, he just couldn’t shake the feeling that God was calling his family to something global. Since answering that call, God’s timing has been amazing! So many things have fallen into place at just the right times.

Getting Involved is Easier Than You Think!

Why Partnering with Santen- compressedYou don’t have to be a high-Caliber Giver to get involved!

So if you were thinking that we were trying to tap you for that “$10,000-empty-your-life-savings-love-gift”… think again.

Although we appreciate the High-Caliber Givers, what it really takes is many individuals, families, churches, businesses and organizations giving Monthly Commitments that are actually do-able.

You can help us meet our goal for April (or any month for that matter). We are looking for individuals/families and churches to partner with us by making monthly commitments. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • 5 Monthly Commitments at $10
  • 4 Monthly Commitments at $25
  • 3 Monthly Commitments at $50
  • 2 Monthly Commitments at $100
  • 1 Monthly Commitment at $200

We are grateful for any amount you are able to give! Pray – see what He says… then CLICK HERE and set it up.

(if you prefer a commitment form that you can mail or fax, add a comment here)
